Golf for kids begins Tuesday

The Jamestown Education Foundation will once again coordinate with the Jamestown Golf Course to offer a five-week golf program for kids on Tuesdays, from Sept. 21 through Oct. 19.

Chuck Connors will be on hand to supervise, teach etiquette and give basic golf advice.

Parents or guardians will be responsible for transporting their child to the golf course by 3 p.m. Tee-offs will begin at 3 p.m., with foursomes going off every 10 minutes.

A maximum of 20 children who have played on a course before may participate in the program.

Pick-up will be after 5 p.m., depending on when the child teed off.

Golfers should provide their own clubs, but a limited number of rentals are available at the golf course.

Cost for the five sessions is $60 per child; financial assistance is available.
