The Jamestown Press office will move to its new home next week on the south side of Narragansett Avenue. That’s right, the Jamestown Press office will move to the south side of Narragansett Avenue next week. We have been busy painting and fixing up the interior of our new office space at 45 Narragansett Ave.

Moving day is just about here, so we’d like to share the details with you.

We will close the current Press office at 42 Narragansett Ave. the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept. 22. – after we complete the Sept. 23 issue of the newspaper and send it off to the printer. With the help of a small army we have nicknamed the “box brigade,” we plan to move the Press office contents across the street on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 23-24.

That means we may be out of touch for a day or two. Don’t worry. We may not be answering our telephones on Thursday and Friday. If no one answers the phone, please send an email. We ask everyone to please be patient. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

We hope to be back in full operation on Monday, Sept. 27, in order to publish the Sept. 30 issue of the Jamestown Press.
