Islanders awarded Swinburne scholarships

Islanders Danielle Brown and Erin Brown, both students at Cedarville University, are among the recipients of the 2010 Swinburne scholarships.

The fund, distributed through the R.I. Foundation’s Newport County Fund, memorializes Elizabeth H. Swinburne, a civic-minded woman of the early 1900s, who established a school in her Newport home to educate young women.
