Oct. 12, 1:56 a.m., Cars 1 and 4, Engine 2, Tanker 2 were sent to Bayberry Road to check on a burner.

Oct. 13, 3:40 p.m., All units were dispatched to the corner of Seaside Drive and Garboard Street to check on a report of smoke coming from a chimney. A furnace had backfired.

Oct. 15, 7:21 p.m., Car 2 went to Steamboat Street for a false alarm that was cancelled en route.

Oct. 16, 1:10 p.m., Car 3, Marine 1 and Engine 3 were sent to Head’s Beach for a report of wind surfers in trouble. They all made it back to shore.

Oct. 18, 4:29 a.m., Car 1 and Engine 1 went to Watson Avenue at the corner of Ocean Avenue for an electric line sparking when in contact with a tree limb. National Grid repaired the issue.

Oct 11, 3:22 p.m., EMS-1, Seafarer Court, Transported.

Oct 11, 6:32 p.m., EMS-1, Fairview Court, Transported.

Oct 12, 8:55 a.m., EMS-1, Pemberton Avenue, Refusal.

Oct 13, 11:55 a.m., EMS-1, Beavertail Road, Transported.

Oct 14, 2:17 p.m., EMS-1, Walcott Avenue, Transported.

Oct 16, 1:16 a.m., EMS-1, Green Lane, Refusal.

Oct 16, 10:31, a.m., EMS-1, Pemberton Avenue, Transported.

Oct 16, 3:58 p.m., EMS-2, Friendship Street, Transported.

This week at JEMS there were nine calls, two resulted in refusal of transport, one was transported home, and six were transported to Newport Hospital.

Calls included shortness of breath, possible stroke, dizziness, leg pain, trauma, laceration and lift assist.
