Beavertail property fetches island’s highest real estate price

Island Realty announced this week that it has sold 333 Beavertail Rd. in Jamestown for a price of $7.8 million. It is reported to be the highest selling price in Jamestown real estate history.

The Beavertail property features a private waterfront estate on 19 acres, with a 14-room main house, a carriage house with guest quarters, a three-car garage, pool and pool house. The house was built in 2001 and designed by B. Wharton of Shope, Reno and Wharton. The property has views from the East Passage of Narragansett Bay to Rhode Island Sound. The property has 440 feet on the waterfront with stairs to an swimming beach.

The home was sold by Carol Hopkins of Island Realty. The buyer was represented by Dinny Burgin, also of Island Realty.
