Darlington renamed chairperson of RITBA

David A. Darlington has been reappointed to serve another fouryear term on the board of directors as the chairman of the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority.

Darlington, who resides in North Kingstown, is a managing partner with the Gildea-Darlington Group, LLC, a public relations firm with offices in North Providence and Boston. He has served in numerous executive and management positions in both the public and private sectors. He was special assistant to former governor Lincoln Almond and has worked for Fortune 500 companies such as AT&T, Merrill Lynch, Verizon Communications and 3M Corporation.

Darlington is the current president and board chairman of the New England Trade Adjustment Assistance Center, which provides funding and facilitates consulting services to New England companies adversely affected by foreign imports. He also serves on the board of the New England Advance Vehicle Consortium and is a founding board member of the American Business Council. He has previously served as vice president of the Quonset Point Port and Business Park Management Board.
