Thanks for community support
On behalf of the Jamestown Community Chorus, I am writing to thank everyone who had hand in making our concerts on Dec. 11 and 12 a great success. “A Very British Christmas, or, What the Dickens!” resulted in standing room only and we wish to express our appreciation to all who attended our performances, and to all who support us behind the scenes.
Thanks to the Central Baptist Church for our rehearsal and performance venue, and to Sav Rebecchi for recording Sunday’s concert for the Jamestown Record.
Thank you Baker’s Pharmacy, Jamestown Hardware and the Secret Garden for selling tickets. Thank you Tim Yentsch and Agnes Filkins for help with tickets. Thank you to everyone at the Jamestown Press who kept readers up to date on our progress, and took pictures of us too! Finally, a salute to Leo Brown on Dec. 11, and to three generations of the Smith family on Dec. 12, for jingling those sleigh bells with real style!
We look now to Jan. 10 when we start rehearsals for a double feature this spring: the “Pirates of Penzance” on March 5 and 6 and a Pops Concert on May 7 and 8.
A happy holiday season and new year to all!
