Driving with a suspended or revoked license

• Nathan Garner, 66, of 4 Clinton St., was charged Jan. 5 with driving with a suspended license after he was stopped for a traffi c infraction on North Road and police ran his license. Garner was held at the police station where a re-arraignment was scheduled for Jan. 14, at Newport District Court, according to police.

• Arturo Santiago, 36, of 1770 Townsend Ave., Bronx, N.Y., was charged Jan. 8, with driving with a suspended license after he was stopped for a traffic infraction on Route 138 and police ran his license. Santiago was not held at the police station. An arraignment was scheduled for Jan. 21, at Newport District Court, according to police.

Larceny under $500

Marlon T. Laifook, 29, of 127 Ellsworth St., Brockton, Mass., was charged Jan. 8, with theft of an iPod while making a delivery to a Jamestown resident on Coulter Street, police said. The police were called after Laifook left the house and the iPod was discovered missing. Laifook was caught with the iPod and an arraignment was scheduled for Jan. 14, at Newport District Court, according to police.

Incident report

• On Jan. 4, a 10-foot by 10-foot birdcage worth $100 was found missing from the back of a house on Stanchion Street. The incident was reported to police and the matter is under investigation, police said.

• On Jan. 5, an attempt to fraudulently draw cash from a PayPal account was reported to police. The matter is under investigation.
