Fishing pier rejected



At one time the western end of the old Jamestown Bridge was proposed to become a public fishing pier. However, the project required too much money in these tight fiscal times. Now the remainder of the old bridge, which connected Jamestown to the mainland for 52 years, is destined for the scrap heap.
