Book group announces upcoming titles

The next book for discussion by the Jamestown Library Book Discussion Groups will be on Monday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m., and Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m. The book being discussed will be “Secret Scripture” by Sebastian Barry.

Other titles being discussed are “Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand” by Helen Simonson on Monday, March 21, at 7 p.m., and Tuesday, March 15, at 1 p.m.

In April, as part of the Jamestown Historical Society’s project “Jamestown and the Silver Screen,” the group will read a biography of the poet Emily Dickinson for discussion on Monday, April 18 at 7 p.m., and Tuesday, April 19, at 1 p.m. Interested participants can view the 60-minute film, “Loaded Gun: Life, and Death and Dickinson,” on Tuesday, April 26, at 1 p.m. The film screening will be followed by a discussion on the movie.
