Bench warrant violations
• Jermaine Perry, 29, of 37 Mable St., Pawtucket, was charged Jan. 20 with a bench warrant violation issued by the 6th District Court of Rhode Island after he was involved in a minor one-car accident and police ran his license. Perry was held at the police station where he posted bail.
• Rudy Perez, 22, of 69 Walnut St., Johnston, was charged Jan. 22 with a bench warrant violation issued by the 3rd District Court of Rhode Island after he was stopped for a traffic infraction and police ran his license. Perez was held at the ACI, according to police.
DUI of liquor or drugs - first offense, BAC .15 or greater
Troy Alston, 43, of 195 Admiral Kalbfus Road, Newport, was charged Jan. 24 with first offense DUI after he was stopped for allegedly speeding and erratic operation of a motor vehicle on Route 138. Alston’s breathalyzer test allegedly revealed a blood alcohol content greater than .15. Alston was held at the police station where a re-arraignment was scheduled for Jan. 28 at Newport District Court, according to police.
