Library, arts center team up for ‘Collaboration’
The Jamestown Philomenian Library will display works of art from past Jamestown Arts Center “Collaboration” shows from Feb. 11 to March 10.
In past years, the Jamestown Arts Center has collaborated with the Conanicut Island Arts Association, the Jamestown Education Foundation, Lawn Avenue School, Melrose Avenue School, Jamestown Parent- Teacher Organization and the Teen Center.
This art show will be part of JAC’s “Collaboration 2011” with the Jamestown library. Other events will include an art square at the library’s story hour in March and a free class for middle school students taught by East Bay Met School student interns.
Those who have participated in the show in the past three years and would like to see their art displayed at the entrance hall gallery, drop-off is at the library on Thursday, Feb. 10, between noon and 5 p.m.
