Thanks to ‘Pirates’ crew
On behalf of the Jamestown Community Chorus, I am writing to thank everyone who contributed to the great success of our concert performances of “The Pirates of Penzance.” We are indeed fortunate to have so much enthusiastic support from so many.
Our deep appreciation goes to everyone who purchased tickets and attended our concerts.
Thank you to Baker’s Pharmacy, Jamestown Hardware and the Secret Garden for selling tickets in advance; to Tim Yentsch, Chris Ariel, Agnes Filkins and Dianne Reilly for selling tickets at the door, and for selling cookbooks and helping set up refreshments; to Prim Bullock for our imaginative decorations; to Jim Perry for recording our show and providing the advertising banner and sign; to Ken Greene for our wonderful posters, and Steve Mecca for printing tickets.
Thank you to the Central Baptist Church for our fine rehearsal and performance space, and to Sav Rebecchi for filming the concert.
Thank you to Mike Maino of WCRI-FM radio for featuring the chorus on his program, “Conducting Conversations.”
Special thanks to Tim Riel, Ken Shane, Jim Munro (a.k.a. The Walrus), photographer Jeff McDonough for taking photographs, and everyone at the Jamestown Press who kept readers well informed about the concerts as the season progressed.
The chorus will present “Spring Fling: Our Salute to Broadway” on May 7 and 8. Rehearsals start Monday, March 21, at 7 p.m., at the Central Baptist Church. Everyone is invited to come and sing with the chorus. We have no auditions; all we require is that you love to sing.
Many thanks to one and all.
