In the March 17 column by Sam Bari, “Good news – a welcome concept,” the monetary figures published were incorrectly edited. Correct numbers include $792 million in financial aid given to Japan from the United States, $313 million from Germany, $243 million from France and $156 million from the Netherlands. Also, Japanese people and firms doing business in the United States contributed more than $12 million to aid with the Japanese earthquake.
