Library to hold vacation programs

The Jamestown Philomenian Library will hold a series of programs for children next week during school vacation.

On Tuesday, April 19, Project Chick will hold a presentation about chickens and eggs at 2 p.m. Beth Weibust of Casey Farm will discuss the process of hatching chickens. There will be an opportunity for children to handle a chick during the program.

On Wednesday, April 20, there will be a reading of “Gwendolyn and the Graceful Pig” at 4 p.m., along with a ballet performance by the Island Moving Company Junior Corps.

On Saturday, April 23, members of the train safety group Operation Lifesaver will show off their model trains at 11 a.m.
