A salute to a Seabee



Long-time Jamestown resident Walter Boll, left, was recently honored in Washington D.C. with a certificate of appreciation by the Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association for establishing the Leo H. Bock III-Walter G. Boll Scholarship. Walter joined the Navy in 1946 and served with Mobile Construction Battalion 103 on the islands of Guam and Tinian. He continued his service in the Seabee Reserves, completing his Naval career in 1969.
