Darlington re-elected chairman of RITBA
David A. Darlington, of North Kingstown, has been re-elected as chairman by the board of directors of the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority. The board voted unanimously last week during its annual meeting.
Darlington is Managing Partner of the public relations firm the Gildea Darlington Group, LLC, based in North Providence, R.I., and Boston, Mass. He has served in numerous executive and management positions in both the public and private sectors. Most notably, he was special assistant to Gov. Lincoln Almond and has worked for Fortune 500 companies such as AT&T, Merrill Lynch, Verizon Communications and 3M Corporation.
Darlington is the president and board chairman of the New England Trade Adjustment Assistance Center, a corporation that provides funding and facilitates consulting services to New England companies adversely affected by foreign imports. He serves on the board of the New England Advance Vehicle Consortium and is a founding board member of the American Business Council, in Washington, D.C. He has previously served as vice president of the Quonset Point Port.
