Summer courses planned for middle schoolers
Save the Bay and the Jamestown Education Foundation will offer a weeklong boat-based camp for students entering middle school. The full-day camp is based primarily on the water and combines science concepts in an outdoor classroom on Narragansett Bay. Topics include scientific collection and analysis, coastal ecology, marine biology, oceanography, maritime history and marine archaeology.
There is also a half-day program for younger children.
Sessions begin July 11 and run through August 12. The fee for full-day camp fee is $250; half-day camp costs $95.
