Arts center to hold free movie nights

The Jamestown Arts Center will hold a student film showcase tonight – Thursday, May 19 – at 6 p.m. to feature short films made by Jamestown children.

The event is part of the Jamestown Historical Society’s ongoing program, “Jamestown and the Silver Screen.” Popcorn and candy will be available for purchase.

Next week, the arts center will hold a screening of “Dan in Life” on Thursday, May 26. The film is rated PG-13 and was filmed primarily in Jamestown. The event starts at 6 p.m. George Marshall and the Rhode Island International Film Festival helped with technical support for the event.
