Francis A. ‘Frank’ Fornari
Francis A. “Frank” Fornari, 84, of Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown, passed away May 20, 2011, at Heatherwood Nursing Home in Newport. He was the beloved husband of Pauline M. (Wolanin) Fornari; they had been married for 55 years. Born in Yatesboro, Penn., on Oct. 13, 1926, he was the son of the late Michael and Adelaide (Curadi) Fornari.
Mr. Fornari was a supervisor at Robertshaw Controls in Indiana, Penn., before his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, drawing and watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. He also enjoyed walking the family dog, Molly.
He was the loving father of Frank Fornari Jr. and his wife Gwen of Jamestown, and David Fornari and his wife Elizabeth of Warwick. He was the cherished grandfather of granddaughter Rita and her husband Vijay, and grandsons Daniel and Kevin. He was the brother of Mike Fornari, Lydia Trainor and the late Mary Fornari.
