Lighthouse to stay open daily in summer

The Beavertail Lighthouse recently announced its summer schedule. The museum will be open to the public seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. With the restoration of the light tower last year, tower will be open to the public periodically. The tower schedule is available on the lighthouse’s Web site.

So far this month the museum has hosted a record number of tours. Docents Varoujan Karentz and Linda and George Warner guide visitors through the site with stories and facts about the light and the exhibits within the museum cumulating with a visit into the naturalist aquarium located in the old Fog Signal building on the site.
