Fire Runs

June 15, 8:43 a.m., Car 1, Car 2, Marine 1, Engine 3 and Rescue 1 were sent north of the Newport Bridge for a possible water rescue.

June 15, 1:45 p.m., Car 3, Car 4, Car 25, Rescue 1 and Ladder 1 were dispatched to Beavertail State Park for a person in need.

June 16, 7 p.m., all companies turned out for drill.

June 17, 2:31 p.m., a firefighter responded to Pierce Avenue to check on a carbon monoxide detector.

This week JEMS had 18 calls. Four patients refused transportation, one patient was transported to South County Hospital and 13 were transported to Newport Hospital. Calls this week included abdominal pain, difficulty breathing, weakness, laceration, fainting, injuries due to falls and possible drug overdose.
