First offense DUI - refusal to take a Breathalyzer test
Frank A. Rositer, 36, of East Main Road, Portsmouth, was charged June 25 with first offense DUI and refusal to take a Breathalyzer test after he was stopped for erratic operation of a vehicle and driving without tail lights, police said. Rositer was held at the Jamestown police station where he was arraigned by a justice of the peace and posted bond. A rearraignment was scheduled for July 1 at Newport District Court, according to police.
• On June 23, an 11-foot Avon inflatable dinghy and Johnson 3.5-outboard motor were reported missing from a house on Riptide Street. The matter is under investigation.
• On June 24, a 40-pound propane tank was reported missing from a house on Coronado Street.
