St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church will hold its 80th annual Summer Fair on Saturday, July 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on church grounds. The event will be held rain or shine.

There will be games, toys, books, furniture, electronics, sporting goods and jewelry for all tastes and budgets.

The Beech Tree Grille will offer lobster rolls, hot dogs and hamburgers. There will also be a tropical Tiki punch stand and home-baked goods.

Silent auction items will include antiques, fine china, silver, crystal, artworks by local artists, golf packages at Jamestown Golf Course and Carnegie Abbey, a sunset harbor cruise on a private vessel, and a day for two in Newport. Silent auction bidding will end at noon. Proceeds of the annual event benefit the operation and outreach ministries of the parish.

Attendees may bring a canned good to benefit the Jonnycake Center in Peacedale. St. Matthew’s Thrift Shop will be open during the fair.
