Watson Farm to start watercolor workshops
A series of watercolor workshops will begin at Watson Farm on Tuesday, July 26. Natalie Pfanstiehl, who has taught at the Newport Art Museum for more than 20 years, will lead the workshops.
The courses will offer painters the opportunity to capture the many facets of the farm buildings, stonewalls and gardens through the medium of watercolor. Pfanstiehl will give a one-hour demonstration of landscape painting and spend the rest of the day assisting students with composition and painting techniques. Students should bring their own painting materials and a bag lunch. All levels of experience with painting are welcome.
Cost is $25 for Historic New England members and $35 for nonmembers. For more information, call Heather Minto at 423-0005.
