Bristol’s Fourth Parade
Bruce Livingston, a retired colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps and commander of Jamestown’s VFW Post 9447, sits in the passenger seat as Don Richardson drives his 1920 Dodge Brothers touring car in Bristol’s Fourth of July Parade earlier this month. Richardson, who joined the U.S. Army in 1946, restored the car. It’s the first time that Livingston can remember that Jamestown veterans were invited to be part of the parade. “It was an honor that they invited us,” he said.
