Volunteers of all ages needed at town farm

The Jamestown Community Farm is still looking for volunteers of all ages. Now in its 11th season, the farm has donated over 137,000 pounds of vegetables to food pantries throughout Rhode Island.

The farm offers community service hours for school-age children. Interested parties should stop by the four-acre farm located on the corner of Eldred Avenue and East Shore Road. Volunteer hours are Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Also, the farm stand is now open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 2 to 5 p.m.

For more information, call Bob Sutton at 423-0910.
