Auditions scheduled for ‘Wizard of Oz’
Auditions for roles in the Jamestown Community Theatre’s November production of “The Wizard of Oz” will be held on Sunday, Aug. 21, at 3:30 p.m. Also needed are chorus members and dancers of all ages.
Children auditioning for a speaking role should memorize a poem or part of a monologue no more than 10 lines long. There is no advance singing or dancing preparation, but those auditioning for dance should bring the appropriate shoes. A parent or guardian must be present with anyone 17 years old and younger. Those 18 years old and older do not have to prepare for their audition.
Necessary forms are available on the theatre’s website: jamestownri.com/jct. To audition, participants will need to print and fill out the required forms and bring them to the audition along with the membership fee.
Tryouts for Toto are being scheduled individually. The dog must weigh no more than 15 pounds and must be gentle, quiet, good with kids and of the non-allergic type. Email the address below to schedule an audition. Also needed are production crew, staff and interns to help with the production.
