Councilor should elaborate on remark
Perhaps Town Council President Michael Schnack might elaborate on his position that “everyone will be paying to protect the [Jamestown Shores’] water.” It seems to me that everyone’s taxes go to fund debt service for the town water and sewer department, whether we are able to use those service or not, and to support the schools, whether we have children in them or not.
Is Schnack articulating a new (double) standard? Does not protecting the shores’ water avoid a costly expansion of the town water system, which shores’ dwellers support anyway?
Kindly refund me the portion of my tax bill associated with anything my part of the town pays for but does not benefit from.
