Lawn students had memorable D.C. trip
The eighth-grade Lawn Avenue School class has returned from its trip to Washington, D.C. with great memories, knowledge and an experience that they will always remember.
All of this is with great appreciation to the Jamestown Parent Teacher Organization, the Jamestown Education Foundation, the Jamestown Women’s Club, the Jamestown fire and police departments, Churchill & Banks, Mourneau & Murphy Law, Trattoria Simpatico, Nardolillo
Funeral Home, TCC and Lila Delman Real Estate.
With their donations we were able to make the trip affordable for all students. I would also like to thank all the businesses that made donations towards raffle prizes for the duck derby: Ace’s Pizza, Jamestown Designs, Balance Sports and Fitness, Salon Balayage, the Purple Door, McQuade’s, Kettlebottom, Conanicut Marine Services, Olive Garden, Smith Optical, Volcom, Teddy Bearskins, Bath & Beauty, Diamond Baseball and the Secret Garden. I would also like to thank East Ferry Deli for all the wonderful muffins and bagels they made for our trip down. All of the contributions, donations and volunteers are what makes this trip successful.
