Charles B. Ceppi Jr.
Charles B. Ceppi Jr., 69, of Green End Avenue, Middletown, died on July 17, 2011, at home.
Born in Providence on May 27, 1942, he was the son of the late Dr. Charles B. and Jane B. Ceppi.
“Tuggy” was a member of the James L. Maher community and resided at Maher‘s Green End Avenue Group Home. He worked in the Maher Workshop Program and participated, happily, in all Maher social activities, especially bowling and hot dog outings at the Newport Creamery. He was also a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Jamestown, where he was baptized and could be found most Sunday mornings.
He is survived by his siblings Peter B. Ceppi and wife E. Jean Ceppi of Jamestown; Nicholas G. Ceppi and wife Elizabeth W. Ceppi of West Redding, Conn.; and Susan C. Bussmann and husband William J. Bussmann of Caballo, N.M. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews, three great-nieces and greatnephews, and his wonderful, loving Green End family.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.
