Award-winning director to screen film at library



The Jamestown Philomenian Library will host a film screening and book signing with Thavi Phrasavath, an Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner, on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 6 p.m. Phrasavath will be on hand during the screening of his film, “The Betrayal,” an epic story of a Lao soldier family’s journey from war-torn Laos to the mean streets of New York. Participants many show up at 5:30 p.m. for tea and conversation. The event is free and open to the public.
