Get ready for the Jack O’ Lantern Jog

The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department will hold its 23rd annual Jack O’ Lantern Jog on Sunday, Oct. 30. The proceeds for this year’s jog will go towards the Recreation Department Scholarship Fund that assists Jamestown youth who are unable to afford various programs such as Six Flags, Jamestown Summer Camp and other programs.

The race starts at 1 p.m. in front of the fire station. Awards and prizes will be given to the top three men and women overall, and the first woman and first man in each age category. Runners are encouraged to dress up in their best costumes. Awards will be given after to the race for fastest costume, best costume, best group costume, best duo costume, best youth costume, and hardest costume to run in.

Registration opens at 11:30 a.m. at the recreation center. Cost is $20.
