THE PINK HOUSE

“The Pink House,” a five-acre waterfront estate overlooking the Newport Pell Bridge, was recently sold for $6,341,500. Lila Delman Real Estate associate Bob Bailey was the listing agent. The home sold in less than 130 days, making it not only the second highest sale in the state for 2011, but also one of the quickest, according to Melanie Delman. “The Pink House” was built in 1919 as a summer cottage. Additional outbuildings include a four-car garage with chauffer quarters, and a one-room gardener’s cottage. The waterfront property enjoys an expansive sloping lawn leading to the shoreline of Narragansett Bay, a private beach area and dock. Included in the sale was an adjacent 1.3-acre water-view buildable lot. This property is located just south of the Jamestown Village with views of the harbor, Newport and Narragansett Bay. “The Pink House,” a five-acre waterfront estate overlooking the Newport Pell Bridge, was recently sold for $6,341,500.
