WWII film screening at library Friday night

The Jamestown Historical Society will sponsor a screening of the film “Crash Dive” on Friday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. at the Jamestown Philomenian Library. Actors Tyrone Power and Dana Andrews were in Jamestown during the filming of the movie.

This is the final program in the Jamestown and the Silver Screen series, a collaboration of nonprofit Jamestown organizations spearheaded by the Jamestown Historical Society.

“Crash Dive” is a World War II film released in 1943. It was directed by Archie Mayo, and written by Jo Swerling and W.R. Burnett.

The film is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
