Book fair planned to benefit eighth-graders

On Wednesday, Dec. 14, the eighth-grade class at Lawn Avenue School will hold a book fair at Barnes and Noble in Middletown to raise money for its trip to Washington, D.C.

Members of the eighth-grade chorus will perform holiday favorites under the direction of music teacher Gilda Bullard from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m. In addition, the eighthgraders will provide free wrapping services in the store beginning at 3:30 p.m.

The school will receive a percentage of all sales made in the Middletown store on Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. as long as its book fair ID number is used. In addition, the school will get credit for online sales from Dec. 14 through Dec. 18 when the ID number is used.

To support the book sale at Barnes and Noble, email Sally Schott at s.f.schott@cox.net to get a voucher with the ID number, or provide the ID number – 10622918 – at the time of purchase.

For out-of-store purchases to benefit Lawn Avenue School, visit bn.com and enter the ID number at checkout. To do so, scroll down to the bottom on the payment page and check the box indicating it is a book fair purchase.
