Scattering Seeds

Christmas and the year-end holidays should include some time for contemplation. Given the frantic schedules modern life forces upon us, and the mind-numbing commercialization of the “holiday season”, we need time to quietly think about what is truly meaningful, and what is mere distraction.

Slow down the pace at least for a while. Take time for yourself. Read to a child. Take a walk in the beautiful places all around us.

Christmas always makes me think about my parents. And about how they gave to their children in ways that went far beyond presents under a Christmas tree.
