Brayton named to RITBA board of directors
Deborah M. Brayton has been appointed to serve a four-year term on the board of directors of the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority.
Brayton is the former chief of staff for David N. Cicilline during his time as mayor of Providence. She also served as the legislative director for former U.S. Sen. Lincoln D. Chafee, and was the executive director of Amos House, a food, shelter and social services agency tending to the needs of Rhode Island’s homeless population.
Brayton is the recipient of numerous awards for her public service and humanitarian activities including the Providence Newspaper Guild Community Service Award; the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless Carol McGovern Memorial Award; the National Very Special Arts Advocacy Award; and the Groden Center Humanitarian Award.
