Tracy L. (Brown) Ouellette
(Brown) Ouellette, 47, of
Jamestown, died unexpectedly Jan. 14, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Douglas E. Ouellette for 27 years.
Born in Hollywood, Fla., she was a daughter of Fred Vietri and the late Margaret (Vadnais) Vietri. Tracy served admirably in the United States Air Force (where she met her husband, a Marine), achieving the rank of senior airman. She was studying to be a nurse at the Community College of Rhode Island. An avid tennis player, she regularly played with friends on Saturday mornings at the Hall of Fame Tennis Club in Newport. She enjoyed antiquing, gardening and reading. Tracy loved to play with her dog Lucy and was excited about the upcoming birth of her first grandchild.
Besides her husband, she leaves three children, Shawn D. of Narragansett, Kyle A. and fiancée Megan of Newport, and Megan E. of Providence; two sisters, Denise R. Brown of North Kingstown and Cheri Sheekey and husband Thomas of Jamestown; a father-inlaw, John N. Ouellette, of Haverhill, Mass, and Fred’s wife, Lynne Vietri. Many nieces and nephews, two great-nieces, and an extended family in Haverhill also survive her.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Jamestown. Her burial will be held at a later date. Visiting hours are Thursday, Jan. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown.
