Ruth V. (Garlick) Baker

Ruth V. (Garlick) Baker, 97, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at Heatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on Jan. 23, 2012.

Born in North Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Reuben A. Garlick and Martha L. (Gardiner) Garlick. She was the wife of the late Harry M. Baker Jr. and mother of the late Harry M. Baker III.

Mrs. Baker was a homemaker and a former communicant of St. John the Divine Episcopal Chapel of Saunderstown. She was also a former resident of Jamestown.

She leaves her sister, Barbara A. McFee of Wakefield, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Frederick Garlick, Herman Garlick, Frank Garlick, Gladys Eaton, Alice Schwann, Elsie Andrew, Dorothy Flynn and Martha O’Hara.

A private graveside service was held in Elm Grove Cemetery in North Kingstown.
