5 islanders named to St. Michael’s honor roll

St. Michael’s Country Day School in Newport recently released its honor roll for the fall term. Five Jamestowners were recognized. Seventh-grader Alex Supron made the headmaster’s honor roll; eight-grader Ben Hodosh, seventh-grader Molly Joyce and sixth-grader Grace Siwicki made honors; and Aidan Novis was named to the efforts honor roll.

Rocky Hill recognizes Thran for academics

TJ Thran was recently named to Rocky Hill School’s (East Greenwich) first-semester honor roll. To be recognized for the accolade, students must maintain a grade above 85 for the semester. Thran is a senior.

Students recognized at Lawn Avenue School

Lawn Avenue School recently named its excellence in effort students for the second quarter. Exemplary students in the eighth grade included Stephen Cirella, Jonah Connett, Jamie Gillette, Robert Haberland, Christian Kirby, Jay Patel, Edward Roberts, Noah Simmons, Rachel Warner and Gabriel Zelaya-Rincon.

High honor students in the eighth grade were Anne-Marie Kildron, Leigh Ann Rodgers, Emily Schott and Lily Wright. Notable eighth-graders were Catherine Caswell, Kelsey Coleman and Jessy Primiano.

In the seventh grade, exemplary students were Maya Dasmalchi, Eliza Kallfelz, Emma Lennon, Darcy Leubbert, Jacob Maguire, Madison Maguire, Meghann Maguire, Sophie Primiano, Josefina Ruggieri, Erica Smith, Bailey Thran, Camryn Wallace and Brooke Warner. High honor students were Grace Gaynor and Allison Hartley, and notable students included Matthew Bonner, Andrue Cobb, Chyna Dougherty and Ethan Holt.

Underhill named to dean’s list at MCPHS

Islander Brynne Underhill was named to the dean’s list at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for the fall 2011 semester. Underhill, who will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in 2012, is majoring in nursing. She is the daughter of Hazel and Bruce Underhill.

Neale honored for academic achievement

Jamestowner Hadley Neale was recently named to the dean’s list at Maine Marine Academy for outstanding academic achievement in the first semester. Students named to the dean’s list must earn a GPA of 3.3 or above. Neale is a member of the class of 2013 and is majoring in vessel operations and technology. She is a graduate of North Kingstown High School.
