Warrant violation

• Luke Verrier, 31, of Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown, was charged March 13 with a warrant violation. The defendant was held at the police station. An arraignment was scheduled for March 14 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.

• Christian A. Garcia, 24, of Conanicus Avenue, was charged March 15 with a warrant violation. The defendant was transported to the ACI.

Suspended license

• Thomas F. Morrissey, 28, of Beacon Avenue, Jamestown, was charged March 13 with driving with a suspended license. The defendant was released with a summons. An arraignment was scheduled for March 23 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.

• Stanford Brown, 41, of Ocean Street, Providence, was charged March 17 with driving with a suspended license. The defendant was released with a summons. An arraignment was scheduled for March 30 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.

• Thomas Shaw, 36, of Mast Street, Jamestown, was charged March 17 with driving with a suspended license. According to police, the defendant was stopped for erratic operation of a motor vehicle. Shaw was released with a summons. An arraignment was scheduled for March 30 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.

• David C. Harpool, 23, of Hamilton Avenue, Jamestown, was charged March 16 with driving with a suspended license. The defendant was released with a summons. An arraignment was scheduled for March 30 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.

Contempt

A 17-year-old male juvenile from Jamestown was charged March 17 with contempt of a family court order. According to police, an officer located the subject on Clinton Avenue at 7 p.m. in violation of a court-ordered curfew. The defendant was released to a parent.

DUI

Carl Pockette, 47, of Village Green North, Riverside, was charged March 17 with DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test. According to police, the defendant was stopped for erratic operation of a motor vehicle on Route 138 around 11 p.m. Pockette was held at the police station where he was arraigned by a justice of the peace. A re-arraignment was scheduled for March 23 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.

Marijuana possession

William R. Gleason, 57, of Cedar Road, Charlestown, was charged March 16 with possession of marijuana. The defendant was released with a summons. An arraignment was scheduled for March 23 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.

Incidents

• On March 17 a vintage Mickey Mouse watch valued at $275 was stolen from a house on Conanicus Avenue. According to police, a postal worker left the package with the watch in it on the porch of the house due to inclement weather. When the resident came home, the package was on the mailbox with a hole in it and the watch missing.

• On March 18 a leather Coach bag valued at $365 containing $350 cash and credit cards was stolen from a vehicle on Beavertail Road.

• On March 19 hand tools valued at $100 were stolen from a shed on Rub Street. A weathervane and shed windows were also damaged.
