Islander sinks first hole-in-one of season

The first hole-in-one of the year at Jamestown Golf Club was made on opening day. Ben Thomas of Jamestown holed his shot on March 21 on the par-3 fifth hole, which measures 130 from the blue tees and 114 from the whites. Although it is the shortest hole on the course, it can be challenging by prevailing crosswinds and the four large bunkers that surround the green. According to Thomas, it is his second hole-in-one – he made one at another course last year.
