Three programs next week for kids at library

Three free programs are scheduled for school-age children during Jamestown’s April vacation, which runs from April 16 to April 20.

On Tuesday, April 17, a Casey Farm volunteer will present Project Chick from 2 to 4 p.m. The program is suitable for children ages 3 to 13. It includes a 40-minute presentation about chickens, a 15-minute talk on eggs, and a fiveminute period where participants get to touch a live chicken and hold live chicks.

On Wednesday, April 18, a bracelet and necklace beading workshop will be held with Deb Goyette from Jamestown’s own Purple Door from 3 to 5 p.m. This program is geared toward kids 12 and older who want to have fun and create their own wearable art. Space is limited and registration is required.

On Friday, April 20, Keith Michael Johnson’s The Secret World of Bubbles will bring state-of-theart bubble sculptures to Jamestown from 11 a.m. to noon. This 55-minute program is both a showcase for Johnson’s discoveries and a chance for him to share how bubbles work.
