Southern Rhode Island drew first blood when Patrick Murphy scored a goal as the first period ended. In the second period, Aidan Darlington scored to put Southern Rhode Island up 2-0, but Warwick quickly answered back with a goal to cut the deficit to one.

Southern Rhode Island got its two-goal lead back after Andrew Gibbons scored on a pass from Shaun Quirk, but Warwick once again answered back. With the score 3-2, it was the islander, Jack, who helped put the game out of reach, when his shorthanded clearing pass hit the stick of Andrew, who solidified the win with his second goal of the game.

With its victory, the Southern Rhode Island Mite B team joined its Mite A squad as Rhode Island champions.
