JCT’s ‘Wizard of Oz’ nominated 5 times

New England’s Motif Magazine has nominated the Jamestown Community Theatre’s November production of “The Wizard of Oz” in five categories for its 2012 theatre awards. JCT nominees include Clayton Carlisle for Best Supporting Male for his role as Professor Marvel and the Wizard (he won in this category last year); Dana Larkin for Best Supporting Female for her role as Glinda the Good Witch; Mary S. Wright for Director of the Year and for Musical of the Year; and Anza DiGasper for Youth Performer of the Year for her role as Dorothy.

“Those who saw the show and those who heard of its success may participate, so please celebrate the hard work of the all the volunteers in their capacity as actors, production crew and staff of our own Jamestown Community Theatre,” said Wright, the JCT’s artistic director who was nominated twice. “Please tell others on and off the island to vote as well. Voting ends soon, so please don’t wait.”
