• Christian Ellerbe, 18, of Lafayette Road, North Kingstown, and Daniel Harpool, 18, of Hamilton Avenue, Jamestown, were charged April 17 with seven counts of vandalism or malicious injury to property, two counts of breaking and entering into a building during daytime, and conspiracy. According to police, an alarm company reported multiple alarms going off at Lawn Avenue School. Police allegedly found Ellerbe and Harpool on the scene, and the school and baseball concession stand had been broken into and vandalized. The defendants were held at the police station and then transported to 2nd Division District Court in Newport for arraignment.
• Matthew P. Gregoire, 21, of Lawn Avenue, was charged April 19 with violation of a bench warrant. The defendant was transported to 2nd Division District Court in Newport. In a separate incident, Gregoire was charged April 20 with domestic disorderly conduct, domestic vandalism or malicious injury to property, and domestic refusal to relinquish a telephone. According to police, officers received a call from a residence saying that the defendant was allegedly causing a disturbance. Gregoire was held at the police station and then transported to the ACI. A rearraignment was scheduled for April 23 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.
• Five male juveniles ages 16 and 17 from Jamestown and North Kingstown were charged April 20 with clinging to a vehicle with a bicycle or roller skates. The operator of the vehicle was charged with first-offense reckless driving. According to police, a caller reported that teenagers were skateboarding while hanging onto the rear of a vehicle at Head’s Beach. The defendants were released to their parents and a hearing will be scheduled in front of the Juvenile Hearing Board.
