CISF will host slew of programs this summer
This summer the Conanicut Island Sailing Foundation will offer sailing and marine science camps at Fort Getty. The camps are called Jamestown Sea Adventure Camp and will be offered weekly from July 9 through August 17 for children ages 8 through 17.
CISF partnered with the town of Jamestown, Audubon Society of Rhode Island, Save the Bay, Jamestown Art Center and the Jamestown Education Foundation to provide the camps.
Kids will spend half the day with an educator from Audubon Society investigating life in Narragansett Bay, and the other half of the day with CISF instructors learning how to sail. Additionally, three times each week, a teacher from the JAC will come to Fort Getty at lunch to lead the kids in a marine-related art project.
