Golf lessons available for students

The Jamestown Education Foundation is currently holding its Tuesday golf program at the Jamestown Golf Course. Although the program has already begun, there is still room for more golfers. It takes place each Tuesday at 3 p.m.

The program is for students who have played on a golf course before. Chuck Connors will supervise, teach etiquette, and give basic golf advice. Parents are responsible for transporting their children to the golf course. Pick up will be after 5 p.m. depending on tee times.

Golfers should provide their own clubs, but a limited number of rentals are available at the golf course. The cost for five sessions is $60 per child, which covers the greens fees.

To register, complete the registration and waiver forms at the secretary’s office at Lawn Avenue School. Financial assistance is available. For more information, call Sally Schott at 423-2388.
