Scramble tournament open for registration

Registration is now open for “Dragonflies for Dori,” a fundraiser that will take place at the Jamestown Golf Course on July 9. Dori, the daughter of Peggy Wark, a preschool teacher at Melrose Avenue School, is fighting a serious medical condition and the Jamestown community is holding to fundraiser to help offset the costs of her medical expenses.

Fee is $75 per person ($300 for a foursome). It will include nine holes of golf, a continental breakfast, all you can eat hotdogs and hamburgers, and a dessert table. There will be prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin. The scramble-format tournament will also have prices for first and second place. Cost is $25 per person for lunch only.

To register, along with name, phone number and email, send a check payable to “Dragonflies for Dori” to Karen Rafanelli, 156 Intrepid Lane, Jamestown, RI 02835. Deadline is May 19.
